Attention Employers !
Please be informed that the wage threshold for stamp duty exemption on employment contracts has been increased from RM300 to RM3,000, effective 1 January 2026. Employment contracts with wages below RM3,000 are no longer required to be stamped.
This exemption is aimed at reducing administrative costs and simplifying contract formalities for lower-wage employees.
